Our Bayard Rustin Center for Social Justice is proud to unveil a dedicated archive honoring & celebrating the inspirational Gay People Princeton, our community's first gay rights organization.
Founded in 1972 as the Gay Alliance of Princeton, these extraordinary individuals gathered together Princeton University students, workers & faculty, local townsfolk, & the greater community to come out strongly & proudly to declare their identity, soon becoming Gay People Princeton & forging the way for all of us!
We at BRCSJ HQ are thrilled to have the honor of creating a multifaceted archive devoted to their history so it is never forgotten again.
On Friday 11 October please join us in showing respect to these fabulous trailblazers, many of whom will travel far & wide to receive much-deserved & long overdue accolades for their part in the movement!
We share this important history to inspire the future,
both equally necessary to inform & implement the now of our
Bayard Rustin Center for Social Justice!
