Bias, Prejudice, & Stereotypes Workshop to Recognize & Move Beyond

Our Bayard Rustin Center for Social Justice proud to partner with Dave D'Amico on this empowering & edifying workshop~
Bias, Prejudice, & Stereotypes
How do they affect us?
Prejudice & discrimination often are root causes of human conflict, which explains how strangers come to misunderstand & even hate one another. Prejudice & discrimination affect everyone. In this interactive workshop we will examine the definitions of prejudice & discrimination, discuss examples of these concepts, & causes of these biases. Our perception is how we view, respond, & react to every experience.
This workshop is designed to understand what stereotypes & biases are. We will discuss how to recognize our own biases & how to move beyond them to a more balanced ability to evaluate & understand people.
