A prolific author, Veronica is best known for her critically acclaimed memoir, "Mama's Girl" which has been course adopted by hundreds of high schools & colleges throughout the country. Born in Panama & raised in Brooklyn, her work often reflects her Afro-Latina heritage.
She coauthored the award-winning memoir "Yes Chef" with chef Marcus Samuelsson & has collaborated on four New York Times bestsellers, includin' "32 Yolks" with chef Eric Ripert. She has been a senior editor at the New York Times Magazine, Newsweek, & Glamour.
Tonite we will chop it up about her latest, "Call & Response: The Story of Black Lives Matter", a broad & powerful exploration of the history of Black Lives Matter told thru photographs, quotes, & informative inspirational text!
