Social Justice Power Hour
Anthony Oliveira is a National Magazine & GLAAD award-winning author, film programmer, pop culture critic, & PhD.
A proudly queer writer of prose fiction, graphic novels, essays, & journalism, he is a recurring contributor to Marvel Comics (for which his work has won the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Comic Book), the creator of "Apocrypha" about queer teens versus the Christian apocalypse & is three-time winner of the National Magazine Awards.
Anthony has also worked with the Glad Day Bookshop~ the world’s oldest surviving LGBTQIA bookstore, & helped as it transitioned into a multi-function queer event space, including drag bar, restaurant/diner & queer community hub in the heart of the village.
