Social Justice Power Hour!
Adam Gopnik
Always thrilled to welcome one of our nation's foremost thinkers & best-sellin' author as he makes his now monthly appearance on our Power Hour!
Adam has been writin' for the New Yorker since 1986, even during his time in Paris when he wrote for the “Paris Journal” . Whilst there, he also wrote the delightful Paris To the Moon, then came, “The King in The Window”, “Through the Children’s Gate: A Home in New York”, “Angels and Ages: A Short Book About Lincoln, Darwin, and Modern Life”, “Winter: Five Windows on the Season”, “The Table Comes First”, & At the Strangers’ Gate: Arrivals In New York”, among many others if ya’ can believe it! His most recent work “A Thousand Small Sanities: The Moral Adventures of Liberalism”, takes the form of a long letter to his daughter & is one of the most thoughtful & thought-provokin’ things we have ever read over here at BRCSJ HQ, no doubt, no diggity.
He’s also worked on many musical projects as well as a lyricist and libretto writer) & is not a bad guitar player at all...
