Extraordinary artist explorin' the intersectionality of art, identity, race, class, & the whole of humanity as well as an award-winnin' designer of events, interiors, products, & sets for film & television includin’ but certainly not limited to MTV & Nickelodeon & too many music videos for a whole mess of musicians to list herein but suffice it to say folx whom you absolutely dig the most!
Currently, Ron works as the principal of Ron Norsworthy Design + Décor as well as the Founder & Owner of the Norsworthy Fund & with his partner, DARNstudio.com. His works have been exhibited at various galleries & collections such as the Studio Museum in Harlem.
As per Seph Rodney in the wonderful NY Times piece, “Telling Stories of Black Life Rescued Him”~
“At 55, Norsworthy is producing artwork that might have rescued the young man who stood in the cafeteria holding that tray, both afraid and resolutely resigned to his fate. He’s made his own dining arrangement, providing a nourishing feast. ‘Here,’ he says, beckoning to a spot at his side, ‘You can sit with me. I’m holding this space for you.’”
